Break free from trauma.

EMDR is a proven, non-invasive therapy, recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO) for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

The use of EMDR has been shown to be effective in the treatment and recovery from trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief, and more.

Guided eye movements, or other forms of bilateral stimulation, supports your brain’s natural ability to heal itself and process traumatic memories.

Who is EMDR useful for?

EMDR is a psychotherapy approach primarily used to help people recover from trauma and distressing life experiences. It is especially useful for individuals experiencing PTSD, single incident trauma, complex trauma and childhood abuse.

How does EMDR therapy work?

EMDR uses bilateral stimulation - like guided eye movements, tapping, or sounds - while the person focuses on a specific memory. This helps the brain "reprocess" the memory, reducing its emotional charge and allowing healthier beliefs to form. EMDR follows an 8-phase process, including history-taking, memory targeting, reprocessing, and reinforcing positive beliefs.

What does the first session look like?

In the first session, we will focus on creating a sense of safety, history-taking and gathering information, and then becoming familiar with the EMDR process.

Is it trustworthy?

EMDR has been named as one of the most researched, and evidence-based, Psychological treatments for trauma-related disorders.
